This map was made for my Advanced Cartographic Design class. I had a lot of fun learning about Almaty, Kazakhstan, and the surrounding mountains. After some edits, I will be presenting this map at the 13th Mountain Cartography Workshop this April in Zakopane, Poland.
I rendered the oblique view of the mountains in Blender, and then compiled different renders for shading, color, and depth in Photoshop. Labels, frame, and illustrations were done in Illustrator.
